Period poverty is a global issue defined as the lack of access or inability to afford menstrual hygiene tools and education. This includes sanitary products, clean water, proper sanitation facilities (WASH services), and waste management. It affects people across all income levels and countries, but disproportionately impacts those in low-income brackets and marginalized communities.
